Bad News

      Today Atticus received news that he was being appointed as the defensive lawyer of the Tom Robinson case. Atticus says he will try his best to defend him but their is not much hope. I asked him why their wasn't much hope and he told me that he is being accused of raping a white women. Tom was going to be put on trial and be judged by a jury of white men. Atticus is afraid they won't look at the facts but look at the fact that he is a black man that could have possibly hurt a white women. I used to think there was only one type of folks, but then why can't we all get along? Now at school kids are going to judge us just like the lack of schooling with the Ewells and the country ignorance of the Cunninghams.
